Darioo Industrial · Charlotte, NC

The machine you can't buy off the shelf.

We design, build, program, install, and support custom machines and industrial automation for manufacturers who outgrew the catalog. One ISO 9001:2015 engineering team, from napkin sketch to first production run.

Why custom

Off-the-shelf stopped working the day your process became your edge.

Catalog equipment is built for everyone, which means it is optimized for no one. When the machine your line needs does not exist, Darioo Industrial engineers it: mechanical design, fabrication, controls, robotics, and the field support that keeps it running. You deal with one team that owns the whole outcome, not four vendors pointing at each other.

Custom Machine Design & Build

When your process outgrows anything in a catalog, Darioo Industrial designs and builds the machine from scratch. Our engineers take your throughput target, part, and floor space and turn them into a complete mechanical design, then fabricate, machine, assemble, and test the build in-house.

You review the design before we cut a single part. You watch the machine run your parts before it ships. That discipline is why our custom machine builds start production on day one, not week six.

Industrial Automation, Controls & Robotics

Labor is the constraint on almost every floor we walk. Darioo Industrial designs and integrates robotic cells, conveyors, machine vision, and safety systems that take the dull, repetitive, and dangerous work off your people and hand it to equipment that runs every shift.

We size the robot to the payload, design the cell around your takt time, program it, guard it, and prove the cycle rate on your parts before commissioning.

Machine Retrofits, Upgrades & Modernization

A sound iron frame with obsolete controls is a retrofit, not a replacement. Darioo Industrial migrates end-of-life PLCs, drives, and HMIs to current platforms, upgrades motion to servo, brings guarding up to code, and rebuilds the documentation your maintenance team has been living without.

The result is a machine that runs like new equipment, with spare parts you can actually buy, for a fraction of what a new line costs.

  • Obsolete PLC and drive migration
  • Servo and motion control upgrades
  • Guarding and safety compliance updates
  • Electrical documentation recovery

End of Arm Tooling (EOAT) Design & Manufacturing

A robot is only as good as what is bolted to its wrist. Darioo Industrial designs and manufactures custom end of arm tooling matched to your part geometry, payload, and cycle time: machined grippers, vacuum tooling, and quick-change plates that pick reliably at speed.

Because we machine and 3D print in-house, EOAT iterations happen in days. You get tooling proven on your actual parts, not a catalog gripper forced onto the wrong job.

Custom Jigs, Fixtures & Tooling Design & Manufacturing

Scrap, rework, and operator-to-operator variation usually trace back to the same root: parts located by feel instead of by fixture. Darioo Industrial designs and machines weld fixtures, assembly jigs, CNC workholding, and inspection gauges that hold your part the same way every cycle.

Each fixture is designed against your part model, machined in-house, and validated before delivery, so first article and thousandth article measure the same.

Industrial Control Panel Design & Build, PLC & HMI Programming

Darioo Industrial designs and builds control panels the way our own field engineers want to find them at 2 a.m.: full schematics, labeled wires, landed spares, and layouts with room to work. Then we program the PLC logic and HMI screens that run the machine.

Whether it is a new build, a panel for a retrofit, or logic cleanup on a machine that "has always done that," you get controls with documentation to match.

Field Engineering & Industrial Maintenance

Most integrators hand you a manual and a phone number. Darioo Industrial keeps engineers in the field: troubleshooting downed machines, running preventive maintenance programs, moving and reinstalling equipment, and supporting machines we built as well as machines we have never seen before.

When your line is down, you get a machine builder on the floor, not a call center ticket.

How it works

One team from sketch to startup.

Every project runs the same disciplined path. You always know what happens next, what it costs, and who to call.

Scope

We walk your floor or your drawings, define the part, the rate, and the constraints, and hand you a fixed quote against a written spec.

Design

Full mechanical and electrical design in SolidWorks. You review and sign off before anything gets cut, wired, or ordered.

Build

Fabrication, machining, panel build, and assembly in our Charlotte shop, with photos and progress checkpoints along the way.

Program

PLC logic, HMI screens, and robot programs written and debugged, then a factory acceptance test running your actual parts.

Install & support

We deliver, commission, train your operators, and stay reachable. Field engineers, not a ticket queue.

Why Darioo

Trusted on floors that can't afford to stop.

Darioo has spent over a decade engineering and manufacturing for teams that measure downtime in dollars per minute. The same engineers who design your machine build it, program it, and stand next to it at startup. That is the difference between an integrator and a partner.

Questions we hear on every first call

Straight answers before you ever get a quote.

How much does a custom machine cost to design and build?

It depends on complexity, motion, controls, and safety requirements, so we never quote from a phone call. We scope the project first: your part, your rate, your floor space. After the design review you get a fixed quote, and the price does not drift because the scope was defined before we built anything.

How long does a custom machine build take?

A typical custom machine or automation cell runs a few months from kickoff to installed and running, depending on complexity and long-lead components like robots and drives. Retrofits, fixtures, and EOAT projects usually move much faster. You get a schedule with the quote and design review gates along the way.

Should I retrofit my machine or replace it?

If the frame and mechanics are sound and the problems live in the controls, drives, or safety systems, a retrofit usually wins: a fraction of the cost of new equipment, shorter downtime, and no re-training on a new platform. If the mechanics are worn past economic repair, we will tell you that too and quote the new build instead.

Which PLC and HMI platforms do you program?

We design control systems and program PLCs and HMIs across the major industrial platforms, and on retrofits we migrate obsolete controllers to current, supported hardware. Every project ships with electrical schematics, commented code, and operator documentation so your maintenance team is never locked out of their own machine.

Where does Darioo Industrial work?

We are based in Charlotte, North Carolina and run field engineering and installation across the Carolinas and the Southeast. Machine builds, panels, fixtures, and EOAT ship nationwide, and we commission on-site wherever the machine lands.

Do you service machines you did not build?

Yes. Our field engineering team troubleshoots, repairs, retrofits, and maintains equipment from any builder, including machines whose original manufacturer no longer exists. If the documentation is missing, we rebuild that as well.
